How to renew Driver Licence

How to renew Driver Licence

Here at Unavin, each time a Driver Licence is issued or renewed it must be recorded for compliance purposes (even if the DL number does not change, the expiration date will have changed making it a new Licence).
When adding a Licence to a Driver profile in Unavin the system requires the first and last name on the Licence match the Driver profile.

Please follow these steps to renew Driver Licence

1. Go to your Unavin Business User Account.
2. Click on the Drivers item in the main menu.

3. Choose Engaged in the sub-menu.

4.  Click on the Driver you would like to update.

5.  Select the Driver Licence sub-tub, where current (valid) and previous Licences are shown. You can add a new Licence or verify the most recent one (unless it has expired).

6. Click on  “Renew Licence“ button.
Note: In Unavin, a Driver Account is considered active if the driver uses the Unavin Driver App and is able to manage their profile, personal details, licences, and other relevant information themselves.
Please contact the driver and ask them to add their renewed licence details.

7.  Please review the details to proceed or adjust as required on a pop-up window, and press "Continue" button.

8.  Please provide Licence details for verification on the next window.
Once you've done, press "Verify" button.
Note: By proceeding with electronic Driver Licence verification, you agree that:
-   You are requesting Unavin to verify the Driver Licence details you are providing above;
-   You are authorised to provide Unavin with personal information on behalf of the person whose personal information you are providing; and
-   Unavin will share the above personal information with service providers and external data sources, including Official Record Holders via third party systems such as the Document Verification System (DVS), to assist us to verify their identity in compliance with relevant laws. These third parties will assess the extent to which the above information matches information in their databases (Information Match Request) and report the results to Unavin (Information Match Result).

9.  If the entered Licence details were not matched, DL verification would fail. Please check the information entered to ensure it matches the Licence details by pressing "Back to licence details" button, and/or check with the Driver to ensure that their licence is current.

10.  Successful Licence verification allows you to add Driver Licence expiration date and Licence Class on the next step.
Although an expiration date is not required for Driver Licence verification procedure, it will help to keep the data actual and compliant by sending reminders to the Driver and responsible managers.

11.  The checked Driver Licence is added to the Driver with today's "recent verification date" and the Driver receives a text message with an invitation to take control of their new account by setting the password (follow the link).
