More on Pipelines and how to create one

Here at Unavin, we’ve created Pipelines to help you automate and streamline your Non-conformance processing. Pipeline is basically a sequence of phases (steps) for the Non-conformance to go through to get finalised. By the steps, we mean actions that need to be taken, and processes completed. For example, notifications sent, forms completed and returned to the sender. There are multiple types of phases which can be reordered at any moment in time.

You may create as many Pipeline as you wish to streamline each Non-conformance type processing depending on severity, time, repetitiveness etc.

Each Non-conformance type needs to have at least one Pipeline of it’s own. 

Please follow these steps to create a Pipeline:

1. Go to Pipelines tab

2. Click on the “+Add“ button in the top right corner of the screen

3. Type in a label for the Pipeline (make sure this label speaks to you)

4. Select Events type this Pipeline is for

5. Now you have created your first Pipeline. Next step is to fill up its structure with phases (steps).

6. Go to the Pipelines list and click on the Structure button on the right from the Pipeline name

7. Click on the “+Add Phase“ button to add a new phase.

8. Select an action you would like for your Pipeline to start with

9. Once you have added all of the steps, click “Save“ and the system will save this version of the Pipeline.

Each time you change Pipeline structure Unavin will create a new version of the Pipeline and keep the record of all previous versions for your record.

10. Once Pipeline is ready to go live you need to Activate it. Go to the Pipelines list and click on the Pipeline Edit button next to the Pipeline Structure button

New Events can not be assigned to inactive Pipeline. Events that are currently in progress through this pipeline will remain there and will be processed as normal regardless of this flag.

Here you can change the label of the Pipeline and Activate it
